Some fun facts about your photographer!

I’ve met so many wonderful new faces through my lens this year, and I thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce myself and share some fun (and maybe surprising!) facts about the person behind the camera. Here we go!

10 random facts about me…

  1. Creepy Crawlies Are Not My Thing
I have a serious fear of bugs and spiders—like, serious. Sometimes I have to call in reinforcements, AKA my son, to handle them for me.

  2. Big Families Are My Comfort Zone
Big, loud, busy families? I get it! I grew up as one of five children, and now I’m one of three siblings with four kids of my own. Family gatherings? Absolutely wild—but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  3. Coffee Fuels My Creativity
Photography sessions often mean early mornings or late nights, and coffee is my trusty sidekick. If you have a favourite local coffee shop, let me know—I’m always looking for new places to try!

  4. Music Sets the Mood
I rarely leave home without my AirPods. Whether I’m editing your photos or running errands, I love having a good playlist or podcast to keep me company.

  5. Candy Is My Weakness
I’m all about a good trip to the Bulk Barn—especially when I have lots of editing to do. There’s something about stocking up on sweet treats that keeps me going through the editing process.

  6. Connection Is My Superpower
I thrive on capturing the unique bonds between families. Whether it’s kids being kids or parents sharing a quiet moment, I live for those authentic, real moments that tell your story.

  7. I’m Definitely Not a Pinterest Mom
I know how to take a beautiful photo, but you wouldn’t be able to tell by the state of my home. It’s messy, loud, and a work in progress—but it’s a home full of love.

  8. Rain Is the Best Sound
There’s something incredibly calming about the sound of rain. It’s the perfect backdrop for cozy moments and always makes me feel grounded.

  9. I Keep the Christmas Spirit Alive
If I could, I would keep the Christmas lights up in the house all year round. There’s just something so magical about their glow that makes everything feel warm and festive.

  10. I Have Two University Degrees
I have a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, and when I started university, my goal was to be the first female GM in the NHL. I quickly realized that professional sports wasn’t my calling, so I shifted to sports philanthropy—a field I’m still passionate about today.
