Thank you for your interest in a branding photography session with La Vie Photography!

Here is some information to consider when booking a lifestyle branding session with me:

Location

We can work together to decide on where to shoot your session. There are several options, including:

  • Indoor Location: Provides a comfortable feeling and allows for a variety for photos. There must be open space & depending on the location, permission or reservation may be required.

    Options for indoor locations are:

    • your office

    • a local coffee shop

    • rental studio/co-working space (may require an additional fee)

  • Outdoors Location: Provides a unique setting with lots of natural light. I am happy to provide local options, if needed.

For more details on the types of locations for branding sessions - check out my blog.

Time

  • If we are photographing indoors, late morning to early afternoon is ideal (between 10:00AM -1:00PM) for the best natural light.

  • If the session is taking place outdoors, the lighting is best 1-2 hours after sunrise or before sunset, providing an incredible backdrop for photos.

Length

Don't worry - I work efficiently! My sessions typically last between 45 minutes to 1 hour, capturing a large and diverse collection of photos.

What to Wear

If available to change, I suggest bringing 1-3 outfits. Your outfits should be comfortable and reflect who you are. They should also connect with your business. I always recommend wearing layers (i.e. jacket, sweater, scarf, hat etc.). This helps provide a variety to your photos without having to change your whole outfit. If you need some inspiration, Pinterest has an endless supply of great ideas! Check out my blog: what to wear for branding sessions, for more info!

Props

Props are important to have in order to help create different scenarios through out your session. There are 3 different types of props you can bring:

  1. Every day items such as coffee mugs, notepads, computer and etc.

  2. Job related and/or branded items - examples of branded items: key chains, file folders, or business cards. Job related depends on your business, for example a yoga teach would bring a yoga mat, some blocks, and maybe candles.

  3. Personal items - these items should reflect your personality and a fun way for your clients to get to know you better.
