Thank you for your interest in a maternity photography session with La Vie Photography! 

Lifestyle photography is so unique, with a goal of capturing candid photos of your family in every day moments. As the photographer, I aim to capture the genuine love within your family, so that when you look back on your photos, you're transported back to this very special time in your life!

Location

We can work together to decide on where to shoot your session. There are several options, including: 

• Ideally your session would take place at an outdoor location. Provides a unique setting with lots of natural light. Options include parks, fields, beaches and etc. I am happy to provide local options, if needed. 

• If preferred, we can have your sessions at an indoor location, which provides a comfortable feeling and allows for a variety for photos. There must be open space and a source of natural light.

Here are some of my favourite location types!

Time 

• For outdoor sessions, most session will take place 1-2 hours before sunset (golden hour). This provides an incredible backdrop for your photos.

• If that time doesn’t work, we can also do 1-2 hours after sunrise. However, depending on the date - this can be pretty early. But I’m happy to get up early if you are!

• If we are photographing indoors, late morning to early afternoon is ideal (between 10:00AM -1:00PM) for the best natural light.

Length

Don't worry - I work efficiently! My sessions typically last between 30-45 minutes, capturing a large and diverse collection of photos. 

What to Wear

Your outfit should be comfortable and reflect who you are. I always recommend outfits that compliment each other without matching. Basic, neutral colours work best. Try and wear something that shows off your beautiful baby bump! If you need some inspiration Pinterest has an endless supply of ideas! You can also check out my blog for more tips!
